As of Saturday, February 1st, 2025, Cordele Motor Speedway waved the green flag on the first race of their Super Fest series consisting of 4 races building up to the World Crown 300. Originally announced back in October of 2024, the Pro Late and Super Late Model series is in league with similar series hosted at other tracks. However, unlike the others, Speed Fest boasts an increased prize for victors who compete in all 5 races—intending to encourage racers to revisit Cordele throughout the season, as well as attract high-caliber racing teams to boost the competition. Jett and his team were stoked to be a part of this seminal race and to be back at Cordele for the second time already this year.
An excellent performance during practice laps had Jett and his team feeling confident. After securing a 2nd place overall in practice the team set their sights on the main event. The car was in pristine condition and looking great, Jett was focused and ready to give a good show. With a great turnout on both the racer and fan front, the Super Fest launch was set up to be a success.
Starting in 8th position, Jett had to fight against a fierce group of competitors to try and gain an edge. Ultimately lacking nothing but raw speed, Jett was able to work his way up to 6th place by the end of 125 laps, sitting comfortably in the top 6. Bubba Pollard took home the first win in the series, but Jett and his team are determined to come back strong and rise higher in the rankings the next time around. Even though we know we have more to leave on the track, we’re proud to have a strong start against such stiff competition and look forward to the challenge this series provides.
