A Battle of Grit and Determination at Cordele Motor Speedway

As the sun set over Cordele Motor Speedway on Saturday, August 31, Jett and the team were excited to return to the track where we celebrated a thrilling victory just last year and eager to repeat it. Expectations were high, and the competition fierce, but we were ready to put it all on the track.

The car was dialed in, the team’s dedication and hard work was paying off, and it was clear from the outset that Jett was in the zone. All signs were indicating another strong showing at Cordele, and pointing to an easy defense as the reigning champ. Jett held down the first place position in all practices, bolstering our confidence going into the race, and we felt ready to take on whatever challenges the track would throw at us.

Diligent prep work aside, a last-minute entrance by Bubba Pollard and the unpredictable nature of this amazing sport made this Pro Late Model 100 a test of endurance, strategy, and sheer determination. The first half of the race saw Jett maintaining a strong position, but the true drama unfolded on lap 59. Jett found himself in a heated battle for third place with Aiden Potter. The two drivers pushed each other to the limit, trading positions and showcasing their skill and tenacity. It was racing at its finest—intense, close, and thrilling to watch.

Despite the fierce competition, Jett was able to hold his own and keep up the fight. The battle to restack the lineup was one of the highlights of the race, Jett was even able to overtake first place on two separate occasions, demonstrating his resilience and ability to perform under pressure.

As the race progressed, the competition only intensified. The field was full of talented drivers, each hungry for a top finish. Jett refused to back down but ended up crossing the line in eighth place. It may not have been the podium finish we were hoping for, but it was a hard-fought race that, even without the title, showcased the indomitable spirit of Jett and his crew.

We’ll take the lessons learned from this weekend, as well as that relentless energy, and come back even stronger for the next race. Thank you to all our sponsors and supporters who continue to cheer us on. Make sure to check out our socials and the schedule for upcoming races so we’ll see you at the next one!
