The race weekend didn’t start as planned. Originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon, series officials made the call to move the Speedfest Super Late Model feature up to Friday due to a less-than-ideal weather forecast. Despite the last-minute change, our team quickly adjusted and came ready to compete.
Starting in 13th place, Jett worked hard to gain ground in a competitive field. While the car handled well and showed promise, this race was about more than just the results. As our first outing of the new year, it was a chance to shake off the offseason rust and work out the kinks with a newly assembled team. Ultimately, Jett crossed the line in 16th place.
“This was our first race with a new team, and while we didn’t get the finish we wanted, we’re glad to have this one under our belt,” said a member of Jett’s crew after the race. “We’re learning and improving with every lap, and I’m confident we’ll come back stronger for the next event.”
Racing is as much about the process as it is about the finish line, and this weekend at Cordele was a valuable step forward for Jett Noland Motorsports, even if it wasn’t the ending we were hoping for. We’re proud of the effort and dedication our team showed and grateful for the experience we gained as we look ahead to a long and exciting season that will only go up from here.
Thank you to Cohen Law Group and Noland’s Roofing for their continued support and to our incredible fans for cheering us on. Make sure to check out our updated schedule for upcoming races and stay in touch by following Jett’s socials!
