The track proved to be a challenge, just as anticipated, and that was made clear through the qualifying laps. Despite the car looking sharp and feeling great on the track, we were lacking raw speed—a factor that seemed to impact several teams, possibly due to the weather conditions. Missing out on a direct transfer spot, we had to compete in the last-chance qualifying race, where Jett’s skill behind the wheel truly shined. Leading every lap of that race, Jett showcased his ability to fight under pressure, securing our spot in the main event.
When the green flag dropped on the Snowflake 100, Jett steadily worked his way up through the pack from 35th, making it as far as 17th place before the field of cars piling up in front of him in turn four ultimately finishing in 23rd. While it wasn’t the result we were aiming for, the car handled beautifully and raced well throughout the evening. The lack of speed that hindered us in qualifying remained a challenge during the feature, but Jett battled fiercely against a stacked field and achieved a strong finish worthy of pride.
“This is racing. It doesn’t always go the way we plan,” A crew member remarked after the race. “This is not a sport where just two teams are competing for the win; there were 46 teams at the Snowflake, all of them competing for the win. Nasse’s team won today. Congratulations to Stephen Nasse on his victory.”
