Jett Noland Motorsports returned to Montgomery, Alabama, this past weekend for the Rumble By The River 125, a key stop on the Southern Super Series schedule. After last year’s complications on the track, the team came into this race focused on the opportunity to showcase how we’ve improved. Following a strong qualifying effort that put Jett 5th on the board, he drew the outside front row for the start, slotting into 2nd as the field took the green flag. Expectations were high, and the energy in the pits was electric. We knew we had a fast car and were ready to put on a show.

For the first half of the race, things were looking promising. Jett held his ground and kept pressure on the front of the field—both he and the car were looking great. But around the halfway mark, something shifted. The car began to lose its edge, and without knowing the cause or having the time to address it, our hands were tied. The car simply wasn’t performing as it had earlier in the race. Jett stayed focused and dug deep, holding off as many competitors as he could and adapting to secure the best possible finish under the circumstances.

As the Jett’s car fell back, the podium positions were overtaken and claimed early. No one was able to break Matthew Craig’s hold over first place for the duration of the 125 laps. Though the lead cars broke away and locked down the top spots, Jett showed grit and professionalism, managing to cross the finish line in 7th place—an improvement from last year’s result, even if it wasn’t the outcome we’d hoped for.

“The car was good until about the halfway point, and then a switch flipped, and the car changed and finished 7th. Something just fell off and wasn’t performing. It was great in the beginning, though. It just goes to show how unpredictable racing can be.” Crew Chief Jimmy Glover commented post-race, “You prepare all week, do everything right, and sometimes the car has other plans. But we’ll learn from this and come back stronger.”

We’re proud of Jett’s determination and the team’s relentless effort all weekend long. Racing isn’t just about the wins—it’s about how you handle the tough breaks, and Saturday night was a testament to that. We’re turning our attention now to Five Flags Speedway for the next round of the Southern Super Series later this month. A huge thank you to all our fans and sponsors—Cohen Law Group and Noland’s Roofing—for your continued support. For info on the next race, visit our race schedule and follow Jett’s socials.
